More e-spam...OR...I'm about to get RICH

Friends.  I know this is totally pointless, and maybe a little crazy, but I just LOVE replying to email spam.  The 7 minutes a day spent on this is worth 2 hours of creative energy.  I thrive here.

I usually only get a couple back and forths from them before they get fed up, but lately, I feel like I've hit a jackpot.  I'm pretty sure the ring of spam kings I've been in touch with every day feel the same way about me, because after more than a month of replying back and forth, I've officially promised them an initial investment of $2000, which is a small price to pay for the MILLIONS that I am about to receive.

I mean, I'm obviously not going to pay, but they seem pretty sure I am.  The following is an extremely long copy/paste that starts about a month ago.  RIP Uncle Willams.

Yes, I will certainly deal with a bank.  Banks are synonymous with Honest Building in my book.

Also, you can just go ahead and fill in the amount…I don’t know what it is in pounds or with interest.  Things overseas are very different from here.  For example, you don’t have Thanksgiving.  We don’t have vegemite.  I don’t really know what it is, because we don’t have it here. 

I would hate for the bank to think that I am a child, but that makes me wonder—how old do I need to be to receive these funds?

I just receive an email now from the local attorney. He travel to Africa for a board meeting but he said he will be able to obtain the documents there.

He said he has already apply for the certificate but the Death Certificate he will get it for you free while Affidavit of Claim and Income Tax are too expensive and each of them cost $1,470 to obtain it, which means Affidavit of Claim and Income Tax will cost $2,940 and he has already deposited $1,300 balance of $1,640

He further said by tomorrow the Death Certificate will be ready but they told him in High Court that if he did not come with the balance they will not release the certificate for him. 

So right now he needed $1,640 more to balance them and my self I do not have any money with me. So you should try and get the balance so that you can send to him to balance up for the certificate.

Get back to me let me know if you can get the money tomorrow.

Shannon, you should try and send it today so that he will pick it up and balance them for the remaining documents. You can split the money into two and send it in two different transaction.

Find as attached Death Certificate but I will suggest you send to the Bank now including your ID Card or Driver License, the you will let them know that you are working on the remaining two okay.

This email is making me very nervous that nothing is honest here.  I have believed you up until now, even when you didn’t know I was female, tried to do business on Thanksgiving, sent me blank emails and more.  This email is very concerning!

I have told you from the beginning that I cannot open attachments on my computer.  You continue to send me attachments, like you never knew this.  Why would you do that?

The information you gave me is not nearly enough to use Western Union.  When I logged onto their website, they asked for much more information than just a name and a color.  You did not even give me a country.  This doesn’t make any sense.

Also, who is IBRAHIM YUSUF?  I have had no contact with him.  Why would I send him money?  That would be like me sending my money to some guy on the streets of Africa.  I have never even been to Africa to know what the streets are like.

I understand your point and if am also in your shoes I will say the same thing. From the very first time I never knew that you are a woman and after you told me I took note of that. I also remember you said you can not open attachment which I always copy all the message to you through email. But this very certificate it a hard copy paper work which I can only scan and send to you by attachment, the other way you can get it again since you can not open attachment is I will send to you by DHL courier and they will deliver to you if that is okay by you let me know. 

Consigning the information the attorney gave me, he made me understand that the name Ibrahim Yusuf is the person who is helping him to file in all the documents in high court. I understand your point but you have nothing to worry about the attorney will go with him to western union and pick it up and he will balance for the remaining documents. You will also receive all the receipt money paid to be sure that he's not telling lies.

Mrs. Shannon, am 52 years by age with 3 kids and I will never tell my follow brother or sister lie all because money that I will leave one day. If i tell you lies and the government get me arrested I will be jailed and I will not want such thing to happen me because nobody will look after my family. I so much love my family and I will not want them to suffer for no reason which I believe you are a mother you know what I mean.

You are not sending your money to just anyone in Africa, the attorney will receive the payment information as soon as you make the payment and he will go with the name Ibrahim Yusuf to pick up the money and balance for the documents. 

Am giving you my world you have nothing to worry about and all will be fine.

Let me know if you want me to send you the Certificate by DHL so that I will do that since you can not open attachment.

This has all just been such a troubling morning.  I have visited the Western Union website and they still need much more information that what Mr. Yusef has given you.  There are no Western Union stores near me at all—I looked.

But this is actually very good news.  I did not realize Mr. Yusef was in Nigeria.  My brother lives there, and I called him, and he is very familiar with 5^th Avenue.  He works for an organization that gives shoes to orphans—you might have heard of them—it’s called TOMS.  My brother’s name is also Tom, but he’s not the same Tom as the shoes.

I would like to wire him the money (I do this all the time, and already have his information) and have him meet Mr. Yusef with the money in person.  This will be better because we can ensure the money gets to the right person.

Here’s what I will do:  1--Have my brother get the money today.  2—have him put the money in a black case (leather). 3—have him meet Mr. Yusef at a coffee shop on 5^th Avenue.  4—Ask Mr. Yusef a security question (this can be pre-arranged—maybe something like “Do you have the money for the transaction?” “Yes.”) 5—Tom will give Mr. Yusef the money. 6—Mr. Yusef will give Tom a receipt.

Tom also has a copy of my passport that he can bring with him.  Please let me know at which coffee shop Mr. Yusef would like to meet, and at what time. 

I have included a photo of Tom for you to give to Mr. Yusef.  It is a little old…I could not find a newer one.  He still looks a lot like this, but his hair is shorter and his face is older.  This will help you find him. 

 

 That's as of today.  The photo may have sent me over the top...but fingers crossed that Alex gets back in touch.  

This is probably THE most time wastey of things that I will ever do.
